With a blink of an eye, we are in November. Oh my.....can not believe, but it is that time of the year. Many of you may have already done your Christmas shopping, set dates for holiday parties or travel. I enjoy all the excitement of the holiday season. We just got done with our Diwali festivities and transitioned quickly from our Diwali treats to Halloween 'Trick or Treats'. And very soon, it will be time to bring out the Christmas decorations. In the midst of this excitement, I hope you will sneak in moments of pause to help you reset and recharge. Go for a walk alone and leave the phone at home. Drink a cup of warm chai outside and observe the leaves falling or simply grab a 15 minute afternoon nap if you can. It is so important to find ways to ground ourselves amidst all the chaos around us.
November is bustling with many activities at Naivedhya. I am busy recording new YouTube videos for the fall. Do check out the brand new video - Tastes of Fall and let me know what you think. I head off to Tyler this weekend to teach an Ayurvedic workshop geared for the holiday season. Next week my kitchen will be filled with smell of roasting and grinding of fresh batch of spices as I get ready for Dallas Flea. And then the Sunday before Thanksgiving, I am opening my home for a very special cooking workshop geared to inspire you with my favorite fall recipes.
And yes, I am humbled by all the phone calls and emails from folks that want to give Naivedhya's heirloom products as holiday gifts and are stopping by to pick up products from me. If you wanna stop by to check out the products or place an order for your holiday gifts, just email me. I will even give you a special friends discount if you come and pick up the products in person.
